O tenis brasileiro est\u00e1 voltando a viver grandes momentos no cen\u00e1rio mundial. Nesta segunda-feira (5), Bia Haddad passou por maus bocados, mas conseguiu vencer a espanhola Sara Sorribes Tormo, 132\u00aa do ranking, ap\u00f3s quatro horas de duelo. O resultado colocou a brasileira nas quartas de final de Roland Garros<\/strong>, igualando o feito da lend\u00e1ria Maria Esther Bueno e tamb\u00e9m chegando mais longe na competi\u00e7\u00e3o desde Guga, em 2001.<\/p>\n

O feito de Bia \u00e9 gigante. Na Era Aberta, \u00e9 a primeira brasileira a chegar \u00e0s quartas de final de um Grand Slam. Em toda a hist\u00f3ria, ela se iguala a Maria Esther Bueno, \u00fanica do pa\u00eds at\u00e9 hoje a chegar \u00e0s quartas em Roland Garros – foi finalista em 1960. \u00c9, tamb\u00e9m, a brasileira a ir mais longe em um Grand Slam desde 1968, quando Maria Esther venceu no US Open. Al\u00e9m disso, entre homens e mulheres, desde 2001 um tenista brasileiro n\u00e3o chegava t\u00e3o longe em uma disputa de simples em um Grand Slam – Gustavo Kuerten, o Guga, foi \u00e0s quartas no US Open e em Roland Garros daquele ano.<\/p>\n

Mas para conseguir vencer, foi um teste e tanto para a brasileira n\u00famero 14 do mundo, que teve diversos erros ao longo do jogo. Mas soube ter for\u00e7as para reagir diante da espanhola Sara Sorribes Tormo, por 2 sets a 1, parciais 6\/7(3), 6\/3 e 7\/5. Foram necess\u00e1rios, quatro match points para dar fim a uma longa batalha e garantir uma classifica\u00e7\u00e3o hist\u00f3rica \u00e0s quartas de final de Roland Garros.<\/p>\n

O duelo terminou com 3h51 de dura\u00e7\u00e3o. \u00c9 o jogo feminino mais longo da temporada at\u00e9 aqui. Bia foi \u00e0s l\u00e1grimas no fim. Depois de uma longa batalha, sentiu o al\u00edvio e a felicidade da vit\u00f3ria em Roland Garros. A brasileira festejou o feito.<\/p>\n
