A \u00c1rea Continental de Santos, ter\u00e1 wi-fi p\u00fablico devido a um investimento que ampliar\u00e1 a conectividade dos equipamentos municipais.<\/p>\n

As escolas e unidades de sa\u00fade tamb\u00e9m ter\u00e3o acesso, e isso ir\u00e1 permitir o acesso gratuito \u00e0 internet em espa\u00e7os p\u00fablicos e o monitoramento urbano integrado ao Centro de Controle Operacional (CCO) da Prefeitura.<\/p>\n

De acordo com as informa\u00e7\u00f5es, a medida ser\u00e1 poss\u00edvel por meio do projeto Conectividade na \u00c1rea Continental, que prev\u00ea a instala\u00e7\u00e3o de torres de telecomunica\u00e7\u00e3o com links de r\u00e1dio.<\/p>\n

Isso ir\u00e1 dotar os servi\u00e7os p\u00fablicos desta regi\u00e3o com a mesma velocidade de conex\u00e3o do que a do restante do Munic\u00edpio, passando dos atuais 50 megabits por segundo para at\u00e9 1.000 megabits\/segundo.<\/p>\n

Ainda de acordo com as informa\u00e7\u00f5es, Santos conta na \u00e1rea insular com mais de 450km de fibra \u00f3tica (Infovia), mas, devido \u00e0s dificuldades territoriais, a rede n\u00e3o se expande \u00e0 \u00c1rea Continental, cercada pelo canal do Estu\u00e1rio, rios e Mata Atl\u00e2ntica.<\/p>\n
