A san\u00e7\u00e3o, que refor\u00e7a a import\u00e2ncia do clube para a cultura e a hist\u00f3ria fluminense, foi publicada no Di\u00e1rio Oficial nesta quarta-feira (7). Fundado em 18 de setembro de 1904, o America tem suas ra\u00edzes na Tijuca, zona norte da capital carioca, e sua relev\u00e2ncia se estende al\u00e9m do campo, resonando na identidade cultural da regi\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Esse reconhecimento ressalta a contribui\u00e7\u00e3o do America para a hist\u00f3ria do futebol e sua trajet\u00f3ria rica em conquistas. O clube soma em sua cole\u00e7\u00e3o sete t\u00edtulos do Campeonato Carioca, a vit\u00f3ria na International Soccer League em 1962 e no Torneio dos Campe\u00f5es da CBF em 1982, al\u00e9m de ser o primeiro campe\u00e3 da Ta\u00e7a Rio, tamb\u00e9m em 1982. Importante mencionar que o America foi o pioneiro entre os clubes brasileiros a adotar o nome do continente americano.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00cddolos e Atletas do America<\/h2>\n<p>O America Football Club \u00e9 lembrado por seus atletas lend\u00e1rios, que deixaram uma marca indel\u00e9vel na hist\u00f3ria do esporte. Dentre eles, destaca-se Alex (Alexandre Kamianecky), conhecido como o &#8220;Capit\u00e3o dos Capit\u00e3es&#8221; e um dos maiores zagueiros que j\u00e1 vestiram a camisa rubro. Estrela da equipe, Luizinho \u00e9 reconhecido como o maior artilheiro da hist\u00f3ria do clube, enquanto Edu (Edu Coimbra), irm\u00e3o do famoso atacante Zico, era um verdadeiro maestro em campo, cativando os torcedores com sua habilidade.<\/p>\n<p>Jorginho, lateral-direito que brilhou pela sele\u00e7\u00e3o brasileira, e o goleiro Pompeia, \u00edcone da meta do America, s\u00e3o outros nomes que comp\u00f5em essa rica galeria de \u00eddolos que ajudaram a moldar a hist\u00f3ria do clube.<\/p>\n<p>Atualmente, o America tem como presidente o ex-jogador e senador Rom\u00e1rio, que assumiu o cargo em 9 de novembro de 2023 para o tri\u00eanio 2024-2026.
