O estudo aponta que, se as emiss\u00f5es de gases de efeito estufa (GEE) forem cortadas em 18% at\u00e9 2030, 45% at\u00e9 2035 e 69% at\u00e9 2040 em compara\u00e7\u00e3o aos n\u00edveis de 2025, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel limitar o aquecimento global a entre 1,7\u00b0C e 1,8\u00b0C, e at\u00e9 retornar ao limite de 1,5\u00b0C at\u00e9 2100.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Para alcan\u00e7ar essas metas ambiciosas, o mundo precisaria implementar uma redu\u00e7\u00e3o m\u00e9dia de 5,7% nas emiss\u00f5es anuais entre 2025 e 2035. Isso exigiria a\u00e7\u00f5es coordenadas e decisivas em n\u00edvel global.<\/p>\n<p>O relat\u00f3rio ressalta que, embora os compromissos atuais por parte dos pa\u00edses signifiquem um desafio, ainda h\u00e1 evid\u00eancias de que \u00e9 poss\u00edvel estabilizar a temperatura do planeta. &#8220;Ultrapassar a meta n\u00e3o significa desistir. Um cen\u00e1rio preocupante prev\u00ea o derretimento de um quarto das geleiras do planeta, resultando em uma eleva\u00e7\u00e3o do n\u00edvel do mar de at\u00e9 12,5 cm, o que impactaria drasticamente a disponibilidade de \u00e1gua pot\u00e1vel em diversas regi\u00f5es do mundo.<\/p>\n<h2>Pol\u00edticas que fazem a diferen\u00e7a<\/h2>\n<p>Para evitar esse futuro indesejado, o relat\u00f3rio analisou mais de 220 pol\u00edticas ambientais adotadas globalmente, revelando resultados promissores, embora predominem em determinados pa\u00edses e setores. As iniciativas no setor el\u00e9trico, por exemplo, mostraram uma redu\u00e7\u00e3o m\u00e9dia de 9% nas emiss\u00f5es.
