O parlamentar da Inglaterra<\/a>, David Amess<\/strong>, de 69 anos, do Partido Conservador, morreu dentro de uma igreja, em Essex. Ele foi esfaqueado durante um encontro com eleitores nesta sexta-feira (15). O autor do ataque foi preso.<\/p>\n

De acordo com a emissora brit\u00e2nica Sky, um homem invadiu no local onde o encontro acontecia e esfaqueou o parlamentar “diversas vezes”.<\/p>\n

Em nota, a pol\u00edcia afirmou que chegou ao local e encontrou um homem ferido, que chegou a ser tratado pelo servi\u00e7o de emerg\u00eancia, mas morreu no local. A pol\u00edcia afirmou ainda que um homem de 25 anos, suspeito pelo ataque, foi preso e que n\u00e3o h\u00e1 buscas por mais nenhum envolvido.<\/p>\n

Amess era do Partido Conservador do Reino Unido, o mesmo do primeiro-ministro Boris Johnson. Ele era o parlamentar do distrito de Southend West, na regi\u00e3o de Essex. O pol\u00edtico foi eleito para o Parlamento pela primeira vez em 1983, para representar o distrito de Basildon. Ele passou a concorrer no distrito de Southend West a partir de 1997.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Em seu site, ele afirmava que seus principais interesses s\u00e3o bem-estar animal e temas ligados \u00e0s campanhas “pr\u00f3-vida”, contra o aborto.<\/p>\n

Carrie Johnson, mulher do premi\u00ea Boris Johnson, foi uma das primeiras a se pronunciar. Ela afirmou que estava devastada com a not\u00edcia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
