O clube\u00a0disse que respeitava a liberdade de opini\u00e3o de cada atleta, mas que n\u00e3o aceitava declara\u00e7\u00f5es homof\u00f3bicas.<\/p>\n

A pol\u00eamica declara\u00e7\u00e3o gerou repercuss\u00f5es negativas entre os atletas de v\u00f4lei. No Brasil, o ponteiro Douglas, um dos destaques da sele\u00e7\u00e3o brasileira de v\u00f4lei nas Olimp\u00edadas de T\u00f3quio, faz parte da comunidade LGBTQIA+ e postou a mesma imagem da DC, com dizeres totalmente contr\u00e1rios ao exposto pelo jogador do Minas.<\/p>\n

“Engra\u00e7ado que eu n\u00e3o virei heterossexual vendo os super-her\u00f3is homens beijando mulheres. Se uma imagem como essa te preocupa, sinto muito, mas eu tenho uma novidade pra sua heterossexualidade fr\u00e1gil. Vai ter beijo sim. Obrigado DC por pensar em representar todos n\u00f3s e n\u00e3o s\u00f3 uma parte”, escreveu.<\/p>\n

Atletas internacionais tamb\u00e9m reagiram \u00e0 pol\u00eamica de Maur\u00edcio Souza. O norte-americano TJ DeFalco, que participou das Olimp\u00edadas de T\u00f3quio, afirmou se tratar de uma “vergonha” os coment\u00e1rios do central brasileiro.<\/p>\n

“Eu pensei que j\u00e1 est\u00e1vamos acima disso [desse assunto], mas parece que n\u00e3o…Que vergonha”, escreveu DeFalco em uma postagem em sua conta no Instagram.<\/p>\n

Resposta<\/h3>\n

O Minas T\u00eanis Clube foi procurado e informou por meio de nota que j\u00e1 tomou as medidas cab\u00edveis ao jogador. Maur\u00edcio Souza ter\u00e1 de se retratar publicamente e pagar uma multa. Antes disso, houve uma reuni\u00e3o entre a diretoria do Minas e os patrocinadores. Chegou a ser cogitada a possibilidade da rescis\u00e3o de contrato.<\/p>\n
