Jacklline de Oliveira, de 45 anos, e Luciano Gon\u00e7alves, de 49, lembram com dor do \u00faltimo anivers\u00e1rio da filha, Kathlen Romeu, que completaria 30 anos no pr\u00f3ximo s\u00e1bado (3). A jovem foi assassinada em 2021, gr\u00e1vida de quatro meses, em uma a\u00e7\u00e3o policial no Lins de Vasconcelos, na Zona Norte do Rio de Janeiro. Ela foi baleada quando visitava a av\u00f3 e n\u00e3o sobreviveu, assim como seu beb\u00ea.<\/p>\n

\u201cKathlen era uma filha intensa e amorosa\u201d, recorda Jacklline. Desde sua juventude, Kathlen sonhava em se tornar modelo e havia se esfor\u00e7ado para financiar seu primeiro apartamento, do qual nunca chegou a desfrutar. O grave incidente que levou \u00e0 sua morte ocorreu pouco depois de sua comemora\u00e7\u00e3o de 24 anos, repleta de alegria e amor familiar.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cO Estado mata a gente diariamente h\u00e1 cinco anos e tr\u00eas meses\u201d, desabafa Jacklline. \u201cN\u00e3o tem um dia que eu n\u00e3o me sinta ganhando um tiro de fuzil\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Kathlen e sua av\u00f3 foram atingidas por disparos realizados por policiais militares, que alegaram estar perseguindo criminosos, uma vers\u00e3o at\u00e9 hoje n\u00e3o comprovada. Ap\u00f3s anos de luta por justi\u00e7a, os policiais Rodrigo Correia de Frias e Marcos Felipe da Silva Salviano est\u00e3o marcados para julgamento no dia 26 de novembro, no Tribunal do J\u00fari. A defesa dos policiais n\u00e3o foi contatada para comentar o caso at\u00e9 o fechamento desta reportagem.<\/p>\n

Os agentes, que anteriormente foram absolvidos da acusa\u00e7\u00e3o de fraude processual, foram posteriormente denunciados pela promotoria. Apesar das condena\u00e7\u00f5es, eles respondem em liberdade e est\u00e3o afastados de suas fun\u00e7\u00f5es. Enquanto esperam justi\u00e7a, Jacklline e Luciano pressionam por uma mudan\u00e7a nas pol\u00edticas de seguran\u00e7a p\u00fablica, que protegeriam vidas em vez de as ceifarem.<\/p>\n

\u201cSe esses policiais n\u00e3o forem punidos, a sociedade civil tamb\u00e9m estar\u00e1 matando Kathlen e seu beb\u00ea\u201d, afirma Jacklline, que mant\u00e9m a mem\u00f3ria da filha viva atrav\u00e9s de fotos e lembran\u00e7as.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Jacklline est\u00e1 em terapia para lidar com a dor, enquanto Luciano cursa psicologia. Ambos se tornaram vozes ativas na luta contra a letalidade policial, enfatizando a import\u00e2ncia de reformas que garantam a vida e dignidade dos jovens, especialmente os da popula\u00e7\u00e3o negra e perif\u00e9rica. Em 2025, dados do F\u00f3rum Brasileiro de Seguran\u00e7a P\u00fablica indicaram que 798 pessoas foram mortas pela pol\u00edcia no estado, refletindo uma alarmante realidade de viol\u00eancia.<\/p>\n

O caso de Kathlen gerou mobiliza\u00e7\u00e3o e clamor social, com a fam\u00edlia passando por descontentamento em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao sistema judicial, que inicialmente parecia negligenciar a gravidade do caso. Jacklline e Luciano fazem quest\u00e3o de que a mem\u00f3ria da filha permane\u00e7a viva, n\u00e3o apenas como uma trag\u00e9dia pessoal, mas como um s\u00edmbolo da necessidade de mudan\u00e7as significativas nas abordagens de seguran\u00e7a p\u00fablica no Brasil.<\/p>\n
